2017 MBPAPA Annual Signature Member Show

“Small Town Flavor”

Signature Members are selected annually from the general membership. A selection committee comprised of Signature Members reviews the submissions and makes the selections. With this recognition goes the privilege of invitation to submit work not only to the Annual Membership show but also to the Signature Members show.

The theme for this year’s show takes the Signature Members away from the Monterey County landscapes and seascapes and into small towns. Also, the group is honored to have as their juror and judge, Jeff Daniel Smith. He is an accomplished and well known area artist and gallery owner.

MBPAPA works to foster the understanding and appreciation of Plein Air painting and its place in the history and current culture of our communities. MBPAPA helps to distinguish local plein air artists as dedicated artists of the region.

An important purpose of the MBPAPA organization is the promotion and exhibition of Plein Air painting among art collectors and the general public. Such events help support the professional development of local plein air artists.
